CALAPAN, Oriental Mindoro – More employment abroad is coming for Calapeños following the city’s partnership with the Gyeongsangbuk-do provincial government of the Republic of Korea.
Morillo met with Korean delegation represented by Lim Haebok, Jeon Byeonghum, Jeong Jeongsu and Hoon Soongu where they signed a memorandum of agreement that will grant legitimate farm work opportunities for Calapeños in Korea.
The memorandum also stated that all regulations and laws related to labor will be strictly implemented in order to protect the Calapeño OFW. (Giovanni A. Flaviano)
